Kanyak’s Doghouse: A good-bye

After nearly 20 years of being online, Kanyak’s Doghouse is signing off. Having started out in 1998 as a Geocities site, Kanyak’s Doghouse went through two metamorphoses–“Geocities Pro” then www.kanyak.com–during which process it also got sold to Yahoo. In retrospect I realize that sale was the beginning of the end and to be completely honest I kind of sensed that at the time. When Yahoo “sold” the domain it to Luminate I knew that the end was nigh. The decision to shut Kanyak’s Doghouse down was made in December 2016 after “improvements” in Luminate’s “security” made the kanyak.com email service unusable.

kanyak.com’s “end of term date” is 7 February 2017. So if there’s anything on the site that you want to keep, get it before then.

We can still be contacted through the gezgin@spamcop.net address for the foreseeable future at least.
